This document discusses creating a classroom literacy profile (CLP) to track student reading progress and drive instruction. Teachers at Yorktown Elementary will collect mandated assessments, unit tests, running records, and observation notes to place students into tiers for the school's RtI program. The CLP binder will store this data, which teachers will use weekly during planning to individualize classroom and intervention instruction based on student needs. The teachers are excited to start using the CLP this year and view it as an adaptable tool to share student updates with stakeholders and shape ongoing reading instruction.
